Southport FC Charity match
The charity match returns to Haig Avenue this August… and this year it’s going to be even bigger.
After an incredible day last year that saw over £48,000 raised for families across Southport, we are coming back together once again for another unforgettable day for our community.
Priority tickets are now available for supporters who attended last year’s match, with general sale opening next week.
Expect more celebrities, familiar faces from last year, entertainment, atmosphere and a brilliant family day at Haig Avenue.
We are expecting this one to sell out and together, let’s see if we can raise even more this time around.

Southport Flower Show
Join us at Southport Flower Show where we will be holding a pop up selling candles, clothing and accessories. It was lovely to meet so many wonderful members of our Elsie Story community.

The show takes place from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd August 2026, and promises to be bigger and better than ever! As the UK’s largest independent flower show, Southport Flower Show attracts over 55,000 visitors across four spectacular days, and you won’t want to miss it.
Prepare to be inspired by breathtaking show gardens, stunning floral displays, and expert gardening advice that will ignite your passion for plants. But that’s not all! You can also enjoy live cookery demonstrations, delicious food, live music, and a whole host of entertainment that makes this a fantastic day out for everyone.
Kids under 16 go free when accompanied by a paying adult, so bring the whole family! With plenty of activities and fun for younger visitors, it’s the perfect chance to enjoy a day out filled with flowers, food, and family fun.

Sunset Run
Join us for the first ever Southport Sunset Run on Friday 5th September, a special evening bringing local communities together to celebrate 'Our Girls.' Organised in partnership with Alice's Wonderdance, Bebe's Hive and Elsie's Story, this family friendly event offers something for everyone while enjoying one of the North West coast's most beautiful sunsets.
Choose from a scenic 5K run around Southport's iconic Marine Lake, or a fully accessible 2K route down Marine Drive, perfect for families and children to enjoy together. After the run, head to the front where music, food and drinks will create a fantastic atmosphere as runners, supporters and the local community come together to celebrate, remember and enjoy a memorable evening.
The 2K is scheduled to start at 6.30pm with the 5K following at 7:00pm. Every entrant will receive a race pack including an exclusive Southport Sunset Run 2026 technical T shirt, available for collection before the event, along with a named race bib, water during the event, a goody bag at the finish and a unique Sunset 2026 finisher's medal.
There are also some fantastic prizes to be won, including two pairs of Shokz headphones, two entries to the 2027 Liverpool Half Marathon and two £50 Up and Running vouchers.
Entry costs £26 for adults and £16 for children. Registration closes on 24th August. A baggage drop off facility will be available on the day.
