As the charity has grown, it has been really important to me to remain a trustee, particularly with Jen taking on such a hands-on role in leading the day-to-day work of the charity.

I feel my role is to be Elsie’s voice. Whenever we make decisions, I often find myself thinking about what Elsie would have wanted. I can almost hear her telling me what she would think, and I hope that helps ensure everything we do reflects the kindness, love and joy that she brought to so many people. That is a responsibility I hold very closely, and one I am incredibly proud to have on the Board.

Sitting alongside the rest of the trustees, I see the experience, expertise and different perspectives that each person brings. It’s a privilege to work alongside them, making decisions that will help children, young people and families across our community, while ensuring Elsie’s legacy continues to make a positive difference.
