My professional background is in law, having worked as a solicitor specialising in Claimant personal injury and clinical negligence work. One of the more rewarding aspects of my career was helping injured people rebuild their lives following serious injury, supporting them as they regained confidence, independence and the opportunity to enjoy active and fulfilling lives. That commitment to supporting people through difficult circumstances and making a positive difference now motivates my work with the Trust.   



Although I am no longer practising, the experience I gained has given me valuable skills in leadership, governance and decision-making, whilst recognising the importance of compassion and resilience  – values that I also bring to my role as Chair of Trustees. 



I also serve as Chair of Governors at Elsie’s school reflecting my passion for supporting children and helping them to achieve their potential. What inspired me to become involved with the trust was the incredible dedication of Elsie’s family. Their determination to create something positive and lasting in Elsie’s memory is truly inspiring. As trustees we are guided by a simple but powerful question “What would Elsie want?” Keeping that thought at the heart of our decision making helps us stay focused on supporting opportunities, experiences and projects that will make a genuine difference to young people’s lives.



I care deeply about giving back to both my local community and the wider community beyond it. As the Trust develops, I am committed to helping build a strong and sustainable charity that can grow and thrive for many years to come.  My hope is that through careful stewardship and a shared sense of purpose, we can help as many children and young people as possible and create a lasting legacy that Elsie would be proud of.
